Mrs. Sakhorn Choem is a group leader of five members who all live in Phlov Trei village in Kandal province. She is a housewife and her husband, Mr. Sok Moeun, is a fisherman. This couple has a child who is a fish seller in the local market. Since her business is doing well, she wants to expand it. Thus, Mrs. Sakhorn Choem decided to ask for a loanto buy more fish to support her daughter’s business and she would use the rest of loan to buy more fishnets for fishing.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
